SPIKE PRINT EDITIONS: This Red by Luke Jerram
£600.00
We all view the world in unique ways and how we see depends in part on our previous experiences, what we’ve learnt from them and indeed the tools we use for perception. Luke Jerram’s fascination of visual perception stems from the fact that he is colour-blind. Creating an image with text that Jerram himself can’t read, the print can be used to test the vision of others. Obsessed with the mysteries of human perception, both its idiosyncratic nature and its innate limitations, many of his artworks have developed from this ongoing investigation.
Jerram’s multidisciplinary practice involves the creation of sculptures, installations and live arts projects. His artworks are in museum collections around the world including The Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC), Shanghai Museum of Glass and Wellcome Collection (London). He is also Visiting Senior Research Fellow at CFPR, University of West of England.
