Gentle Polygon Decay explores the transformative influences of electronic culture, digital environments and emerging technologies on identity.
Playing on the relationships between artists hand, digital tools and natural processes by contrasting the ordered, precise construction of contemporary digital aesthetics with the uncontrolled chaos of natural decay. The work went through multiple processes of printing and destruction. Chemicals were used to freely corrode the print before using these organic elements to reconstruct the work, making a final print with archival digital pigments on Hahnemühle Photo Rag papers.
